Saturday 14th April 3:00pm

Heanor Town welcome Blackwell MW to the Town Ground and hope their players, officials and supporters enjoy their short stay in our company.

Heanor Town need just 2 points from their remaining 2 games to be crowned East Midlands Counties League Champions 2011-2. On Saturday they entertain Blackwell MW at The Town Ground, and will be keen to win the league in front of their own supporters. The Lions beat Borrowash Victoria 3-1 on Monday in front of a crowd of 328, the largest home league gate for many a year. Joint manager Hopkins was very thankful for the support, ''The support on Monday was phenomenal, but to be honest we have come to expect nothing less. Our supporters have been amazing since Glenn and I came to the club, and it would be unbelieveable to clinch the title on Saturday in front of our amazing fans. In our teamtalk on Monday we asked the players to get the crowd on our side early on, but we needn't have bothered because the crowd were buzzing before kick off. Having said that, the players were terrific and fully deserved the 3 points. We are just hoping that the supporters come back on Saturday, and cheer us on in what will be a keenly contested local derby''.
