Sponsor Appreciation – Matthew Walker

Sponsor Appreciation – Matthew Walker

Heanor Town Football Club15 Feb 2024 - 13:22

Heanor Town Football Club Junior Section teams, the U10 Comets, and the U12 Diamonds are proud to have their kits sponsored by Matthew Walker.

Matthew Walker is a local family business, which was started by a humble Derbyshire farmer’s son all the way back in 1899. By using traditional ingredients and cooking methods, their Christmas puddings have the same delicious flavour as they did all those years ago.

The U10 Comets have been sponsored by Matthew Walker now for the last two seasons. The Comets have gone from starting as a ‘rag-tag’ bunch of kids who just liked to kick a football around to an organised group playing exciting football. They’re a strong family of footballers and parents, plying their traits in the Derby Junior Football League. Matthew Walker have been with the Comets for their whole journey, and we are very appreciative of their continued generosity. – Craig Peacey, Heanor Town Comets U10’s Manager.

The U12 Diamonds are a fresh and exciting new girls team who formed for the 2023/24 season. These girls have come on leaps and bounds, finding their place within a team of footballers and friends. The Diamonds are smashing the football scene, with a promotion already in the bag and a great win record within the Notts Girls League. The future looks sure to ‘shine bright like a diamond’ for these girls, and we’re extremely grateful for Matthew Walker to be part of our success. – Tom Proctor, Heanor Town Diamonds U12’s Manager.
