Heanor Town Football Club are proud to announce that after 471 days away from home, the official opening of our brand new facility at The Town Ground will be on Wednesday.

The exciting new development includes a state of the art full size FIFA quality all weather pitch, new LED floodlights, new car park and new 175 seat main stand, creating one of the finest football facilities in the region.

The £2m project has been made possible through a £1.5m investment from the Football Foundation and Premier League Stadia Fund, together with a £500k contribution from our owners the Clarence Family and we would like to place on record our gratitude.

We would also like to thank to Mcardle Sport and Tiger Turf for there amazing work on the project, Ilkeston Town who gave us a home, the fans and helpers that travelled and stood by the club in this period, our amazing sponsors, Amber Valley Borough Council and Heanor and Loscoe Town Council who were both extremely supportive throughout the planning and development process in their role as landowners, and the club is grateful for their continued support.

Chairman Geoff Clarence said:
"This is a landmark moment not only for Heanor Town Football Club but for our whole community. This fantastic facility will provide opportunities for people of all ages to enjoy football and sport throughout the year, whatever the weather. It will be home to hundreds of junior players each week, provide a first-class venue for league matches, coaching programmes, disability football, walking football, school and community activities, charity events and local partnerships, including our exciting new partnership with Derby County Football Club.

The new facility will also bring more visitors into Heanor, supporting local businesses and helping to make The Town Ground a real hub for sport, health and community life.
We hope it will inspire the next generation of footballers while creating opportunities for everyone to get involved, whether as a player, coach, volunteer or supporter."
